Forum Application

Past participants of Forbeck Forums are invited to apply to chair a Forum on a topic of their choosing. Applications are reviewed by the Foundation's Scientific Advisory Board in both the fall and spring cycles.

If approved, the Foundation will manage all logistics, including meeting materials and on-site support, allowing you to focus fully on the science.

For the best experience, we recommend completing this application on a laptop or desktop rather than a mobile device.

Participant List

Please use the attached participant list sorted into 4 session titles to create a preliminary list of participants and sessions. The Foundation is looking to bring together investigators who do not normally work together or attend the same meetings. If we see groups of people that frequently attend meetings together there is less likelihood of approval.

Your participant list should include:

  • People from a wide geographic spread
  • A mix of MD/PhDs
  • Only 1 person per institution
  • An even mix of males and females
  • 50/50 mix of senior vs more junior faculty, with a leaning more towards investigators and those active in the lab

16 participants should be selected, with approximately 4 back up participants. The chair who has attended the meeting should be the first speaker. The people who know the format should set the tone of the 2-slide rule and a discussion-based format.
